Maclalpine Toni Strauss is one of the Sorcerer Shoguns serving Kall-Su.

Appearance[]

Maclalpine has dark colored hair, and red eyes. His hair covers his right eye which is said to posses a secret.[1]

He is one of the most lightly armored of the Shogun, only wearing a breastplate for armor. The rest out of his outfit consists of a cape, tunic, and fingerless gloves. The scabbard for his sword, the Galient Sword, is on the right hand side. His threads are stockpiled in a pouch on his left side, and its buckle. It travels through the inside of his clothes, to the palms of both hands, and then to his fingertips.[1]

Personality[]

He will do anything to win, an favors using cunning methods to defeat his enemies.[2] He is keen on advancing in the ranks of the Shogun, and has a palpable rivalry with Yngwei von Mattström.[1] Like the other Shogun, he is very loyal to Kall-Su.

History[]

Maclalpine is first seen in the land of Ho Rando, putting down a civilian revolt, and dismembering Jorg Fishes, the Samurai who was leading them. Before leaving he secretly ties one of his threads to Jorg, and lies to him about the Sorcerer Shoguns already knowing the Samurai's Castle, and planning an attack, so he can track Jorg back to the castle. He is later seen alongside his fellow Sorcerer Shogun as they meet at Castle Judas to hear Kall-Su's report on the progress of their conquests, and the need to find the final seal of Anthrasax, to achieve their utopia. When its revealed that Tia Noto Yoko, and Kai Harn, are alive, and working with the Samurai, Maclalpine volunteers himself to attack the Samurai's Castle.[3]

Upon arriving at the castle with Ba Thory, and some Sphinx, Maclalpine kills many of the samurai during the battle, including the leader of the samurai Joshua Berahia. After Dark Schneider resurrects, and kills the Sphinx, Malcalpine and Ba Thory would attempt to kill the wizard. After their attacks fail, Dark Schneider ends up blasting Maclalpine away with the Manowar spell. He would later land in the Valley of Graves, in the presence of Gara, who has his ninja tend to Maclalpine's wound upon learning it was Dark Schneider who did this to him.[4] Later, he would still be traveling with Gara as they make their way to and old safe house D.S. told Gara to meet up at in case they ever got separated.[5]

As they got close to the hideout, Maclalpine and Gara would run into a Dragon Zombie. Upon question from Gara on why such a dragon would be here, Maclalpine explains that the dragon was likely seeking out a Dark Elf, due to Dark Elves connection to the dark arts. An enraged Gara would attack the dragon, with Maclalpine joining in the battle shortly after. Once the zombie dragon was defeated, the pair would reach the hideout, with Maclalpine noticing the looming flying city of King Crimson Glory in the distance.[6]

Maclalpine would later be seen alongside Ba Thory, holding an unconscious Shella E. Lee, outside the city of Judas. There they would witness the awakening of Anthrasax, and the destruction of the city of Judas.[7]

(missing P3 history)

Four years after the fall of King Crimson Glory, Maclalpine, along with fellow Sorcerer Shoguns Ba Thory, and Shella E. Lee are seen leading a group of refugees in the post apocalyptic landscape. Their group is attacked by a horde of Demons, and pulled into Hell, where most of the refugees are slaughtered. Maclalpine attempts to assist Ba Thory in attacking the demon Conlon, by using this thread powers to control Conlon's body, but Conlon's strength proves too great, and Maclalpine's arm gets ripped into pieces as a result. Before their group can be completely wiped out, they are saved by the Seraphs.[8] Maclalpine remains present during the Seraph's fight against Conlon, as well as Dark Schneider's later fight against Uriel.[9]

As Dark Schneider and Uriel's fight returns them to Earth, Maclalpine and his group arrive in a ruined Metallicana, landing next to Gara and his ninjas who had been living there.[10] He notices Shella isn't present, and calls out trying to find her to no avail.[10]
