Hobbits are one of the many races on Earth.

Background[]

Hobbits are inhabitants of the grasslands. They have big ears, and have the height of a human child even after reaching adulthood. Their civilization is about the same level as humans. Their kingdom is an emirate that is governed by an organization of twelve clans. Their capital lies in the southern Metallion continent, where they have a small market in which they share with humans. Hobbit villages are mainly located underground.

The Church and state are not separated among Hobbits. Priests chosen among the twelve clans rule their nation. Their average lifespan is around 120-140 years. In terms of physical force, they are inferior to Humans, Dwarves and Elves. However, they are very agile, and since they are born under the blessing field of god, they are granted much higher levels of luck than other humanoids. The magic power level of the hobbit priests is far greater than those of an elf. The Hobbits have an affinity with nature. It is claimed some of them can even communicate via words and thoughts with the plants and animals around them.

They are cheerful and love to party. They are very curious, and don't stop researching things that interest them (even if they also get tired of it quickly). Because of this, hobbits trade a lot with adventurers and people from distant lands. Some have even joined other civilizations, and Hobbits can be found in many human societies. Hobbits act as intermediaries for elves and other humanoids, to the point that humans and elves don't have direct trade networks with each other.

The giant Yunlyze tree, which grows in Metallion, is considered sacred to the Hobbits, who view it as a symbol of blessing. Its branches have magical properties, and are said to be a source of mana. Hobbits are generally not specialized in magic, unlike the Elves, and use a lot of the mana from this tree.[1]

As a sign of friendship, Hobbits show the palms of their hands, or their belly.[1]

History[]

Hobbits were part of the gathering of races on Geezer Island trying to stop Satan's Negative Genesis plan. Their magical institutions had determed that the Artificial Adam seen in the sky had no mass, and didn't exist in their dimension. They promised to use their vast resources to help stop Satan's plan.[1]
