Ba Thory is a polymancer, and one of the Sorcerer Shoguns.
Appearance[]
Ba Thory has dark brown hair and green eyes. His outfit uses earthy colors, and includes spiked shoulder guards and a cape.
Personality[]
Ba Thory is also characterized by his hot and bitter behavior, and sees his fellow Shogun Yngwei as his rival.[1] Like the other Shogun, he is deeply loyal to Kall-Su.
History[]
Ba Thory is first seen among his fellow Sorcerer Shoguns in Castle Judas, listening to Kall-Su's report on the progress of their conquests, and their need to find Anthrasax's final seal to build their utopia. During the meeting he insults Yngwei when Yngwei tries to give Kall-Su information regarding the survival, and presence, of Tia Noto Yoko, and Kai Harn, among the Samurai, and expresses shock at the information.[2]
He later joins Maclalpine Toni Straus during his attack on the Samurai Castle, killing many Samurai, including Schen.[2] After the resurrection of Dark Schneider, Ba Thory would attack the wizard with Maclalpine, suffering severe injuries in the process. After the battle's conclusion, Dark Schneider would tear many of Ba Thory's recycling worms out of his body to bring the fallen Samurai back to life.[3]
Ba Thory would later be seen alongside Maclalpine, who was holding an unconscious Shella E. Lee, outside the city of Judas. There they would witness the awakening of Anthrasax, and the destruction of the city of Judas.[4]

Four years after the fall of King Crimson Glory, Ba Thory, along with fellow Sorcerer Shoguns Shella E. Lee, and Maclalpine Toni Strauss, are seen leading a group of refugees in the post apocalyptic landscape. Their group is attacked by a horde of Demons, and pulled into Hell, where most of the refugees are slaughtered. Ba Thory's attempts to attack the demon Conlon result in his body being reduced to a slug, but before his group can be completely wiped out they are saved by the Seraphs.[5] Ba Thory remains to watch Dark Schneider and the Seraph's fight against Conlon, as well as Dark Schneider's later fight against Uriel.[6]
His body would eventually regenerate back to normal.[7] As Dark Schneider and Uriel's fight brought them back to Earth, he would find himself in the ruined kingdom of Metallicana with Maclalpine and the other refugees, landing next to Gara and his ninjas who had been living in the ruins of the Kingdom.[8]
Abilities and Equipment[]
Ba Thory is a a polymancer who keeps hundreds of millions of bugs inside his body, and in a container under his cape. These bugs are rare and special species that come from remote marshlands.[9] The types of bugs he carries in his body are diverse, including regenerating bugs that repair themselves and blood-sucking bugs as well as bugs that strengthen his own abilities such as sensing and augmentation, and enemy tracking and manipulation[1][9]

- Regeneration Worms: These worms enhance his strength and repair his body.[2]
- Demon Blood Worms: These leeches can be projected from his body and used to infest, and drink the blood of, his enemies.[2]
- Necrotic Arm Melting Worms: Launches the mass of worms and leeches that comprise his arms at his enemy.[3]
- Mighty Repulsive Force Maned Worms : Numerous tentacles and appendages grow across his body as he leaps onto his enemy.[3]
- Insect Storm: Creates a cloud of bugs around his body as he leaps toward and enemy.[5]

- Resist Fire: Ba Thory can create a shield that can resist fire magic.[3]

Ba Thory is a skilled swordsman. His personal sword, the Earth Sword, is said to be strange
