WIZARD!!: The Lord of the Fiery Explosion (WIZARD!!〜爆炎の征服者〜, WIZARD!! - Bakuen no seifuku-sha) is the prologue chapter[1] of the Bastard!! manga.
Plot[]
The prologue begins when the kingdom of Metallicana is under attack by the powerful wizard Osborn and his army of demonic minions. Because of the absence of the Imperial Knights and Geo Noto Soto the kingdom's army is unsure how to combat Osbourne and his army of darkness. One of the soldiers concedes to princess Sheila Metallicana that the outlook is grim.
Geo Noto Soto's 14-year old daughter Tia Noto Yoko, present at the scene with her fellow 14-year old friend Lucien Renlen suddenly recalls how her father bestowed upon her a secret spell that will release a certain entity. Geo Noto Soto warned Yoko of the dangers of using the spell and forbade her to use it except when the kingdom is in the direst of need.
When Osbourne and his forces reach te great hall Sheila tells Yoko that she was informed by Geo Noto Soto that there is a legendary wizard hidden somewhere within the kingdom. The nearby ministers, upon hearing this, urge Yoko to release the wizard. Yoko is reluctant because the secret to release the wizard, a virgin's kiss, is "too humiliating to bear".
At that moment Osbourne breaches the walls and now stands face-to-face with Sheila. The Ministers switch sides and join Osbourne. Osbourne sends two Giants to kill the Ministers.
When the Giants' attack causes part of the ceiling the crumble, Lucien gets hurts as he tries to protect Yoko from the falling rubble. Yoko realises she has to put aside any humilities and then kisses Lucien on the lips, releasing the evil wizard Dark Schneider from within Lucien.
Dark Schneider uses a "Damned" spell to evaporate Osbourne's Giants. Osbourne, not realizing who he is up against, reacts shocked, because that spell can only be cast by a handful of high level wizards.
Yoko wonders who the wizard really is, Lucien, or Dark Schneider. The wizard introduces himself as the reincarnated magician Dark Schneider. Several Metallicana officials urge Dark Schneider to destroy Osbourne, but Dark Schneider's reacts reluctant initially. Dark Schneider seems somewhat willing to help Yoko, but for all he cares the others can die.
Yoko reacts angrily and Dark Schneider realises he does owe Yoko a lot for taking care of Lucien for all these years and lifting the seal. Osbourne orders his army to attack Dark Schneider, who, with a single spell, wipes away the entire army. Osbourne retaliates with a lightning spell aimed at Dark Schneider, but Dark Schneider's only response is a dry "that hurts". He then casts the Venom spell which almost instantly destroys Osbourne.
